On this installation the customer has requested a system that will have two induction loops placed under the block paving, one on entry and one on exit to activate the gates with underground motors.
For this installation we used the CAME FrogAE-P24 Kit, with low voltage 24 volt underground Frog-AE24 motors.

In the workshop an IP65 rated external encloser is prepared to |
|
|
| The bottom plate for the enclose is marked out to allow for cable gland entries. |
|
|
| The plate is centre punched and drilled. |
|
|
| 20mm holes are made for the cable glands |
|
|
|
The 20mm cable glands are installed and the plate refitted |
|
|
| Earth bonding is crimped and bolted to the main body and the door of the enclosure |
|
|
| The CAME ZL19N control unit is secured into the cabinet |
|
|
| A CAME SMA220 Bi-Channel magnetic induction loop sensor is also installed in the enclosure |
|
|
| On site the block paving is removed from the front........ |
|
|
| ......and to the rear to allow for the inuction loop cable to be installed |
|
|
| Low voltage cables are run from each post back to the control cabinet |
|
|
| Caution tape is layed over the cables and back filled ready for the blocks to be replaced |
|
|
| At each post the under ground Frog motor casing are placed into position...... |
|
|
| .......and set into concrete |
|
|
| The following day when the concrete had set the CAME Frog-AE24 motors and arms were installed |
|
|
| And casing lids replaced..... |
|
|
| .......on both left and right motors |
|
|
| The control equipment cabinet is sited adjacent to the gates |
|
|
| The cables are run into the cabinet and identified and labelled |
|
|
| The block paving is replaced and the gates layed out ready for installation |
|
|
| The brackets are made up in the workshop ready for the installation |
|
|
| The top hinges are secured to the gate posts |
|
|
| Plates are secured to the bottom of the gates |
|
|
| The first gate is rested onto the motor arm and the top hinge |
|
|
| Then levelled up |
|
|
| The motor arm is marked..... |
|
|
| ......then removed and clamped to the plate ready for welding |
|
|
| The ground level on the left hand gate is a lot lower that that on the right and the bottom of the gate had to be packed out with timber and a metal plate secured and welded to the motor arm. |
